Programme of events at the Norwich Puppet Theatre

Norwich Puppet Theatre presents
Double Character Puppet Making Workshop

In this workshop you will make a puppet that has two heads/faces - good and bad, happy and sad, human and animal - the design is up to you.

This style of puppet was made popular in the Victorian era - for example with Red Riding Hood at one end and then when the puppet is turned over revealing the Wolf at the other end.

The workshops at the Puppet Theatre run for 1½ hours (unless otherwise stated) and during the first part of the session everyone will work together under the guidance of the workshop leaders to make the basic 'skeleton' of the puppet. Then there is a short break - where refreshments may be purchased in the Puppet Theatre shop, or you can bring your own along.  After the break it is free creativity time where the puppet's chararacter comes to life - with facial features, hands, costume, accessories etc.  All the materials are included in the price of the workshop.   At the end of the session you will have a puppet to take home with you!
