| Critical Flicker presents The Testament of Dr Mabuse ... film showing
CRITICAL FLICKER welcome you to the next 16mm film screening at Norwich Puppet Theatre. A landmark of mystery and suspense and a masterpiece of early sound cinema, this chilling story of hypnotism and organised crime was the director's last film before fleeing Germany. Lang put slogans and ideas expounded by the Nazis into the mouth of a madman, warning his audience of an imminent menace which was soon to become a reality. Nazi Minister of Information Joseph Goebbels saw the film as an instruction manual for terrorist action against the government and promptly banned it. Don't miss this rare chance to see The Testament of Dr Mabuse on the big screen!
