Black Ram return to Norwich Puppet Theatre this time with Charles Vance's production of Jane Eyre. Charlotte Bronte's well-loved, classic nineteenth-century story of penniless orphan Jane Eyre is brought to the stage by Charles Vance, faithfully conveying the exceptional emotional power of the original novel.
Focusing on the love story between Jane and Rochester, the play begins as Jane arrives in 1846 to take up the post of governess to Rochester's ward Adele, at Thornfield Hall, a place of mystery and fear. Jane and Rochester fall in love but their happiness is jeopardised by the discovery of the terrible secret from Rochester's past, resolved by the dramatic fire which maims him.
