Ljubljana Puppet Theatre bring their unique adaptation of that most traditional of tales - The Giant .. [or Enormous...] Turnip.

When Grandpa succeeds in growing a turnip of enormous proportions, everyone is very proud and pleased... until it comes to trying to get it out of the ground. Can he pull it out by himself?.... No, he can't ... and so the story unfolds as he calls upon everyone to lend a hand or paw!

The performer (actress/puppeteer/clown) cleverly and boldly tells the well-known fairy tale about The Giant Turnip…with a suitcase, a washing-line and assorted clothing ... creating animals, the farmer and (of course) a turnip before your very eyes.

This is the UK premiere of this production which has travelled to festivals in France and South America. Performed in English

Please note that this production replaces the programmed Swan Lake which has had to be cancelled due to a performers ill health. The Giant Turnip performance dates and times also differ from Swan Lake so please check below.
