Programme of events at the Norwich Puppet Theatre

Norwich Puppet Theatre presents
Mask Making Workshop

Masks are commonly used in puppet theatre to enable the puppeteer to take on one, or more, roles in the show.

During this workshop you create a mask to disguise yourself so no-one will know you are! All materials are provided to make something as scary, funny, wild or simple as you desire.  The only restriction is that you have 90 minutes to do it in!

The workshops at the Puppet Theatre run for 1½ hours (unless otherwise stated) and during the first part of the session everyone will work together under the guidance of the workshop leaders to make the basic frame of your mask. Then there is a short break - where refreshments may be purchased in the Puppet Theatre shop, or you can bring your own along.  After the break it is free creativity time where the mask's chararacter comes to life - with facial features, accessories etc.  All the materials are included in the price of the workshop.   At the end of the session you will have a mask to take home with you!
