Norwich Puppet Theatre presents
Storybook Character Family Puppet Making Workshop

a paper caterpillar, red face, green body and brown legs with purple antennaAnother chance for families to work together to create a puppet - or "family" of puppets.  In this session the theme is Storybook Characters.

Have you ever wished to bring your favourite storybook character to life - to change from a 2D to 3D figure?  In this workshop you will only be limited by the time to hand and your creative urges when creating .. a hobbit, a gruffalo, alice in wonderland or ... whatever leaps from the page into your mind.

The workshops at the Puppet Theatre run for 1½ hours (unless otherwise stated) and during the first part of the session everyone will work together under the guidance of the workshop leaders to make the basic 'skeleton' of the puppet. Then there is a short break - where refreshments may be purchased in the Puppet Theatre shop, or you can bring your own along.  After the break it is free creativity time where the puppet's chararacter comes to life - with facial features, hands, costume, accessories etc.  All the materials are included in the price of the workshop.   At the end of the session you will have a puppet to take home with you!
