Laughing Monkey return to Norwich Puppet Theatre stage with two one act plays:

ACT I - THE CAGEBIRDS - by David Campton

Within the cage six creatures dwell, captives of their benign ‘mistress'. While they appear to communicate with each other, each ‘bird' is absorbed in its own trivial thoughts ... that is until the Mistress brings a new play-thing to her menagerie. This untamed bird, this ‘wild one', refuses to accept her prison and making her bid for freedom, shatters their safe captivity. Can the Wild One tempt them to break free from their confines? Or will the birds take drastic action to recapture their dependence? 

ACT II - THE REAL INSPECTOR HOUND - by Tom Stoppard

As critics Birdboot and Moon draft their biased reviews from the stalls, a dreadful whodunit plays out onstage. With a madman on the loose, a fog draws over Muldoon Manor, sealing the occupants inside with a murderer in their midst. But as the play unfolds, the critics find themselves drawn into the murder mystery, their weaknesses and obsessions converging with the hackneyed plot. Only the celebrated Inspector Hound can solve this puzzler ... whoever he may be ...
